BRISTOL HOSPITAL ATRIUM ARTWORK

Working from models and renders supplied by Studio Weave, we recently completed the final installation of a large artwork suspended in the atrium space for University Hospital Bristol. The artwork is an 8m high funnel shaped net created from 20 horizontal and 18 vertical, stainless steel cables, covered in 270 colored hanging acoustic baffles. As well as finalizing the final geometry of the piece, managing all subcontractor drawings and on-site installation, my role also involved designing a physics based simulation of the final net in order to generate accurate crossing point information for each unique cable.
