I saw a cool little Spirograph set the other day and remembered how much I loved mine when I was younger. It was a bit pricy at £8 or something, so I thought I would have a bash at making a Grasshopper Spirograph. It is a really simply process, tracking a point whilst two circles move around each other, but lead to lots of interesting patterns. These different patterns form from changing their relationship of the circles in terms of size and also the ratio of the spinning. The more interesting patterns from when the relationships and ratios increase or decrease over time creating the more spiralling patterns.
