MONOAMMONIUM PHOSPHATE CRYSTALS

These are some images of a crystal growing kit I found as I am looking to start a bit of a research project around modelling different types of crystal structures and growths. It took around a week or so to finish growing and its size and shape is dependent on the temperature and humidity of of the environment. Some cool information from the kit …… ‘Crystals grow in seven basic shapes, called crystal systems. Each system has a different pattern of particles. The crystal systems are called cubic, tetragonal, hexagonal, monoclinic, triclinic, orthorhombic and rhombohedral.’
