The Fabrication lab is a series of ongoing experiments conducted with Nick Tyrer to explore and understand various digital fabrication processes and techniques. The key idea is in the design of systems that can be used for fabrication purposes and not simply the fabrication of one off designs. The forms and structures that we have fabricated are one of an infinite amount of forms that could be produced using the systems we have designed.
We started with some simple waffle scripting, and then developed various process to generate different structures and results.

Quarter Iso Waffle – Exercise in structure
Ripple Waffle – Exercise in optimization
We also have looked into how we could script very different types of structures.
